Need help? Find housing, food, healthcare, and more in DuPage. 211 DuPage was implemented on November 15, 2022, as a program provided by DuPage County Department of Community Services and the Addison Consolidated Dispatch Center through the support of DuPage County and 211 Illinois.

  • 211 provides expert, caring help — No matter the situation, the specialists at 211 listen, identify underlying problems, and connect people in need with resources and services in their community that improve their lives.
  • 211 meets real needs in real time — In 2024, 211 DuPage handled 8,662 contacts that presented with 15,588 needs for assistance. Thirty four percent (34%) of those needs were for housing/shelter related needs, such as homeless shelter and rent payment assistance, and 27% for utility payment assistance.
  • DuPage County 211 call specialists are local, providing resources right here, in our community.
  • 211 tackles underlying root causes – 211 does more than “patch people through” to agencies. Instead, 211 specialists are trained to identify and address root causes of a client’s problem – and connect them with a wide range of available resources that meet all the underlying needs, not just the one that prompted the call, text or email.
