STEM & Buds Program

STEM For-Youth, By-Youth | Naperville Chapter

KidsMatter encourages our youth to make a difference in the community, and Senior High Board Member Joel Setya has done just that. Joel, the Executive Director of this international nonprofit has spearheaded a STEM initiative in his community, assisted by Neuqua Valley High School Seniors Dylan Subramanian and Hetvi Patel, who serve as Regional Directors for the Naperville operations.

STEM & Buds is a national 501(c)3 bridging students to mentors, shaping initiatives, and translating science for civics. The Naperville chapter exposes elementary and middle school students to diverse STEM topics through hands-on applications. These challenges encourage students to think outside of the box to solve problems independently and collaboratively. An incredible aspect of this program is that students can join at any time, as each session provides new and unique teachings. To find out more, click here.

The Naperville chapter’s most recent event was a Summer Camp where over 50 kids participated in a few hours of stimulating fun with friends, an array of STEM-related activities, and competitions!
