Organization Mission:

What started in 2021 as a small online workshop series has grown into a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit bringing interactive STEAM workshops directly to schools and public libraries throughout Chicagoland. We believe every child, regardless of background or resources, should have the chance to dream big and explore their potential.

With each workshop, we aim to break down barriers, open doors, and ignite the imagination of the next generation. One experiment, one project, and one dream at a time.

Description of Volunteer Opportunities:

Volunteers help run our free, hands-on STEAM workshops for under-resourced kids across the Chicagoland area. That means leading small groups of students through fun, hands-on activities like building circuits, engineering with cardboard, launching straw rockets, and simple chemistry. Volunteers also help set up and pack up materials, and there are behind-the-scenes roles too, including planning workshops, outreach to schools and community partners, fundraising, and running social media. As a fully student-run 501(c)(3), we’re always looking for motivated students who want to share their love of STEM with younger kids.

Skills or Experience Necessary:

Enthusiasm for science and technology, patience and warmth with kids, reliability, and a willingness to jump in and help. No teaching experience needed, just a positive attitude and an interest in making STEM fun and accessible for every child.
