Description of Volunteer Opportunities:

Storefront Collectors: Stand at designated storefronts or community centers wearing Kiwanis vests/aprons, accepting goodwill donations, and handing out peanut packets.

Minimum Age Requirement:

Any age with parent guidance

Skills or Experience Necessary:

Approachability & Warmth: Willingness to smile, wave, and greet passersby enthusiastically—a friendly face directly impacts donation rates.

Punctuality: Shifts are often coordinated around peak foot-traffic hours; showing up on time keeps coverage seamless.

Safety Awareness: Constantly aware of surroundings, especially when stationed near street corners or busy parking lots.

Community Pride: Prepared to briefly answer questions about where the funds go (e.g., local Key Clubs, youth sports, food pantries, or scholarships).
