Organization Mission:

Wellness House envisions a community where all people affected by cancer thrive. Offered at no cost, and as a complement to medical treatment, our programs educate, support and empower participants in order to help them improve their physical and emotional well-being.

Description of Volunteer Opportunities:

We have a variety of volunteer opportunities:

— One-time opportunities such as helping as needed with special events and programs like cooking classes, kids programs, art classes, walking programs, etc.

— Ongoing opportunities to volunteer at our front desk, our retail furniture consignment store, and more. We have a a Youth Council and are always looking for certified Yoga Instructors, Reiki Masters, Massage Therapists, Acupuncturists, and salon / wig-fitting volunteers.

By filling out our volunteer application, you are automatically enrolled in our monthly newsletter where we share about upcoming volunteer needs for our special events and programs. All you will need to do is reply to one of those emails if see you something you would like to sign up for.

If you are interested in volunteering on a more regular basis for a 4-hour shift every week or every other week, to help with something like the front desk or The Courtyard, please let me know and we can find a time to talk and explore different options to find the best fit for your interests.
