At WDSRA we enrich lives, connect communities, and create fun through inclusive recreational opportunities. We provide engaging community based social & recreational activities for individuals of all ages with special needs.

Description of Volunteer Opportunities:

Our volunteers can attend one of our new Volunteer Orientations and then will be able to choose what athletic or cultural arts program they would like to volunteer with, or we also utilize volunteers in small groups (parent & child) to volunteer for many of our 1-day events. Either way we appreciate and are grateful for the commitment of our volunteers to help us ensure our programs are fun & run smoothly!

Minimum Age Requirement:

15 without an adult or 14 with an adult

Skills or Experience Necessary:

We are looking for volunteers that are looking to make a difference in our participants lives and either have an understanding of participants with special needs or are open to learning more about supporting our community. Volunteers are generally needed in athletic or cultural arts programs with participants who are 16 years old and older.

If a volunteer has a certain talent they would like to share at one of our adult programs – we would love to discuss that.
