Prior to Kitchens To Go, and Carlin Manufacturing, LLC, Mr. Rubin acted as the CEO of Culinary Enterprises, a leading catering / special events organization, consisting of six distinct catering divisions. A few of Culinary Enterprises’ major venues included the Kentucky Derby and The Ravinia Festival.

Rubin earned a BS in Physical Distribution Management (time-motion studies) from the University of Southern California – School of Business. Upon graduation, he entered the US Marine Corp rising to the rank of Colonel. Most recently, his Marine Corps reserve billets have included Executive Officer of a Medical Battalion and Anti-terrorism / Force Protection Officer. 

His last billet was Marine Emergency Preparedness Officer, representing DOD to civilian authorities in FEMA Region V & VII, which comprise the ten states of the upper Midwest. Rubin retired in 2008.

Steve Rubin has and continues to serve on many civic and charitable boards and committees. He served the local and regional United Way system for twenty years with his last position as the Vice-Chair of the United Way of Chicago. Currently, he serves on the board of the DuPage Children’s Museum and as a trustee on the board of North Central College. Steve also chairs the Downtown Core Strategic Planning Committee for the City of Naperville, Illinois. He is married and has three daughters.
