Organization Mission:
Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland & Northwest Indiana (RMHC-CNI) provides housing, support and community so families with sick children can stay together. Team Volunteers are integral to this work by helping with the day-to-day operations of our Houses and Family Rooms. No two days as a Team Volunteer are alike, and these flexible, passionate individuals handle a variety of tasks to ensure our locations run smoothly for the families we serve.
Description of Volunteer Opportunities:
Team Volunteer: Become part of our team assisting with daily critical tasks around the Ronald McDonald House.
Meals from the Heart/Culinary Hearts – sign up for a date to cook on-site, or to donate a catered, restaurant meal.
Cookies from the Heart – bring a small group on-site to bake treats or make goodies for families to enjoy.
Wish List – host a Wish List drive to collect much-needed household supplies.
Care Kits – purchase individually sized items to create handy packs of essentials for on-the-go families.
Virtual Volunteering – create entertaining videos, submit recipes, design activity sheets, and more!
Red Shoe Society– professionals group committed to raising funds and awareness in the community; focused on fundraising events, partnerships and volunteerism.
College Representative Program – College students volunteer in a flexible capacity to work within their communities to support the mission of families getting better together
Teen Advisory Council– high school juniors and seniors friend-raise and volunteer to support RMHC-CNI.
Event Volunteers – assist on-site at fundraisers to ensure they run smoothly.
