Ron Amato currently serves as a KidsMatter Board Member and is a former Advisory Board member. Ron is employed by CNA Insurance and previously was an attorney in private practice handling investment-related disputes and regulatory matters. Ron is a lifelong resident of DuPage County and has two children attending Naperville District 203 schools. In addition to KidsMatter, Ron is a member of the Exchange Club of Naperville and will serve as Club President for 2019-2020. He also serves as an appointed Trustee of the City of Naperville Firefighters’ Pension Fund Board. Ron has been involved in various organizations, including the Chicago Bar Association and Union League Club of Chicago, where he has served on several committees. He resides in central Naperville with his wife and family.

Why did you join KidsMatter? What motivates you to be more involved in our community and represent KidsMatter as a board member?

I was drawn to KidsMatter because of the work that it does to help build resilient kids and teens who are equipped to deal with stress in a positive manner. The organization’s focus on addressing mental health issues and other problems facing our youth – as well as celebrating our youth – is very important, and much needed, in our community.
