Description of Volunteer Opportunities:

History Squad Volunteers

Are you currently a 4th-7th grader who loves sharing history, performing, or giving back to your community?

History Squad volunteers engage with visitors in children’s history by playing historic games and demonstrating chores and other activities from the 1800s. Throughout the Summer Season (April through October), History Squad volunteers will improve their public speaking skills, learn life skills from the 1800s, and, most of all, have fun bringing history to life.

2024 Requirements to Participate: 

  • Must be a current 4th-7th grader by the January before open season

History Connectors

Interested in engaging visitors of all ages in fun learning activities? 

History Connectors provide Naper Settlement visitors with hands-on educational experiences through a variety of activity carts and stations during our open season.

2024 Requirements to Participate: 

  • Must be a current 8th grader through adult by the January before open season
  • Volunteers are non-costumed 

Minimum Age Requirement:

12

Skills or Experience Necessary:

Outgoing and interested in history
