With extensive leadership experience overseeing and teaching health education programs, Jared Deane currently serves as the Dean of Nursing and Health Sciences at College of DuPage.
Prior to his appointment, Jared served as Associate Dean of Health Science and Career Programs at Malcolm X College in Chicago, where he oversaw the admission process, curriculum planning, as well as evaluation and assessment of student outcomes. He also has been an adjunct professor in health education, math, and business education for nearly 13 years at City Colleges of Chicago, Robert Morris University, and Olivet Nazarene University. He also has experience in workforce development when he served as the College Partner Liaison for YearUp.
In his spare time, Jared enjoys mentoring youth. He has developed mentoring programs for several organizations and has helped to raise thousands of dollars to send inner-city youth to college.
Jared holds a doctorate in Health Services Research and a master’s degree in Systems Engineering, both from the University of Florida. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Virginia.
