Organization Mission:

En Español is a multicultural organization that serves to empower Spanish speakers and build intercultural connections through free classes in language and STEM for adults and young people.

Description of Volunteer Opportunities:

Volunteers will help us run our STEM classes for Hispanic youth (can be English or Spanish-speaking, work with kids well) , help us teach our English classes for Hispanic adults (must be able to speak Spanish at a professional/teaching-degree level of fluency) Volunteers can also assist by attending community events with us and helping set up. These events that we participate in help to spread awareness about our organization, so being able to talk to people who come up to our booth and share a little bit about our mission (English or Spanish-speaking, preferably Spanish-speaking)

– Helping prepare materials for our English and STEM classes, can be online or in-person (hybrid format), English or Spanish-speaking

– Leading our upcoming event, a community-oriented Book Drive, can choose from: Recruitment and Outreach (contacting prospective donors) or Book Collection (picking up books)

Minimum Age Requirement:

12

Interpersonal skills, Spanish-speaking (high level of fluency), hardworking, and cooperative
