Empowering people of all ages experiencing autism, intellectual and emotional disabilities, and their families to live, learn, work, and thrive in their communities.

Description of Volunteer Opportunities:

Little Friends Family Respite Services program offers multi-week sessions for children with disabilities and their siblings, featuring indoor and outdoor activities and socialization opportunities.

Volunteers are needed to play with and engage children during these activities. Volunteers will follow a preplanned schedule of activities or stations in groups led by a staff member. Each volunteer is assigned between one to three participants (depending on level of care needed and volunteer attendance). Volunteers will stay with those participants throughout the volunteer shift and make sure they are safe, happy, and entertained throughout the program.

The respite program runs Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 5:30-7:30 pm, as well as twice monthly on Saturday mornings from 10 am-12 pm.

14

Skills or Experience Necessary:

Patient, fun, engaging, playful, kind, dedicated, compassionate, and adaptable. Enjoys working with children is a must!
