Organization Mission:

The Forest Preserve District protects and enhances Will County’s natural and cultural resources for the benefit of current and future generations.

Description of Volunteer Opportunities:

There are a variety of options depending on age. Teens are welcome to help with animal care and cleaning as well as assist with programs. Habitat Management, removal of invasive plants, is for 10 & up whereas seed collecting is for 8 and up. Litter cleanup is open to all ages.

Varies with assignment

Skills or Experience Necessary:

Good communication is very important. Also, the understanding that anyone under 16 must have a guardian on-site while volunteering.
